Drexel Hill (Pa.) Monsignor Bonner 2025 wide receiver Jalil Hall has committed to West Virginia.
Hall, 6-foot-4, 181-pounds, selected the Mountaineers over the remainder of his top five schools which included Maryland, Rutgers, Syracuse and Duke.
In addition to those schools, Hall also held offers from Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Nebraska and several others.
The Rivals.com three-star prospect initially received a scholarship offer from the Mountaineers in December and things only continued to grow between him and the coaching staff. He took a visit to campus for the junior day in January and then an official visit over the May 31-June 2 weekend.
Offensive coordinator Chad Scott served as the lead recruiter for Hall and was able to develop a strong connection which put the Mountaineers in a good overall spot in his recruitment.
Rutgers was long considered the front runner, but West Virginia was able to make up ground and secure his first official visit which proved to be critical in his recruitment.
Hall is being targeted at the Z or X position in the West Virginia wide receiver room and gives the program another impressive big-bodied option that can win both the field and in contested catch situations.
Hall is the fourth wide receiver to commit to West Virginia in the 2025 class behind Hurricane (W.Va.) wide receiver Tyshawn Dues, Cheshire (Ct.) Academy 2025 wide receiver Teriq Mallory and Danville (Ky.) Boyle County 2025 athlete Montavin Quisenberry. He is the 21st commitment overall for the Mountaineers.
WVSports.com will have more with Hall in the near future.
