West Virginia hasn’t punched their ticket just yet. But the Mountaineers’ NCAA Tournament chances received a major boost by beating Iowa State 72-69 on the road in thrilling fashion.

It was one of the gutsiest, grittiest performances in recent memory as the Mountaineers fell behind by seven points with under nine minutes remaining and the Cyclones held all the momentum.
