To say West Virginia had a poor offensive effort against Iowa State would be putting it lightly.

The Mountaineers managed only 200 total yards against the Cyclones, 135 of which came before the deep recesses of garbage time, and mustered only 14 points.

The offense ran only a total of 49 plays and was only able to string together multiple first downs on four drives in the entire game.
