West Virginia baseball went 2-2 last week, which included a series win over Texas Tech this past weekend.

Following the weekend, WVU sat at 39-7 overall, and they continued to rise in D1Baseball's Top 25 poll.

The Mountaineers rose four spots to No. 12 in the country in this week's poll, while Baseball America dropped WVU one spot to No.9.

WVU's 2-2 showing included a 0-2 start to the week with a walk-off loss to Marshall, and then they fell 6-4 in the opening game against the Red Raiders. WVU would then get a stellar relief outing from Reese Bassinger on Saturday in game two, and then West Virginia pitched a shutout in game three on Sunday.

West Virginia sits atop the Big 12, and they are one of two teams ranked by D1Baseball this week, as Arizona sits at No. 22 in the nation.

This week, WVU is on the road four times. They face rival Pitt on the road on Tuesday, before the Mountaineers head to face Kansas State for three games this weekend.
