The West Virginia football program has added another piece to the 2026 recruiting class with a commitment from Bixby (Okla.) athlete Emory Snyder.
Snyder, 6-foot-4, 205-pounds, received a scholarship offer from the Mountaineers Feb. 13 and things only continued to build from that point.
Nickels/sams coach Henry Weinreich served as the lead recruiter for Snyder and he took a visit to campus in March in order to see the program and how he could fit into it.
Snyder is being targeted as a nickel but has the ability to move around to multiple spots on defense. This past season he had 45 tackles, 14 pass breakups and 6 picks.
The Rivals.com three-star prospect selected the Mountaineers over offers from Washington State, San Diego State, North Texas, Arkansas State and several more.
Snyder is the fifth commitment for West Virginia in the 2026 class.
