West Virginia has plucked another prospect out of the state of Georgia when former Ohio State defensive back Josh Norwood picked the Mountaineers.

A native of Valdosta, Georgia, Norwood signed with the Buckeyes in the class of 2015 and redshirted his first season on campus before appearing in 11 games the following year. The former Rivals.com three-star then elected to leave the program and enroll at Northwest Mississippi C.C.

At 5-foot-11, 185-pounds, Norwood emerged on the Mountaineers radar this fall after cornerbacks coach Doug Belk extended a scholarship offer to the talented prospect. At his new home, Norwood has recorded 21 tackles and could end up at either safety or cornerback in Morgantown.
