Coconut Creek (Fla.) Monarch 2025 wide receiver Samari Reed took his official visit to West Virginia over the weekend and left impressed with the experience.
Reed, 6-foot-3, 185-pounds, felt that Morgantown stood out from the minute he arrived on campus.
"West Virginia was nothing like I planned it to be at all. The things that stood out were the people. They showed a bunch of love," he said.
The Rivals.com four-star prospect spend a bulk of his time with wide receivers coach Bilal Marshall and he made it clear that he is a priority for the program.
"They said my skill set is already good enough to play and he sees me playing all of the spots inside and out," he said.
Reed believes that after seeing it all he would be a great fit for what the Mountaineers do on the offensive side of the ball and he would be used in a similar fashion to Traylon Ray.
The nation’s No. 149th ranked prospect, Reed has collected scholarship offers from a long list of schools and has already taken an official visit to Clemson. He will head to Kentucky and Penn State next but the trip to Morgantown certainly impressed.
