Ocala (Fla.) West Port quarterback Brian Maurer was naturally nervous.
The 2019 prospect had gotten the heads up from his coach that West Virginia offensive coordinator Jake Spavital had made the trek down to watch him throw so it’s hard to blame him for being so especially given his inexperience with the process.
