WVU must be strategic when utilizing redshirt rule

Make no mistake about it Neal Brown is a proponent of the redshirt rule.

The rule, which went into effect last season, allows college football players to appear in up to four games without costing themselves a year of eligibility in the process.

West Virginia took advantage of the changes last season playing five different freshmen that were able to retain their redshirt in the process.
