--On first down, the Mountaineers have run 195 plays and gained 839 yards for a 4.3 average. On second down, the Mountaineers have run 153 plays for 789 yards and a 5.2 average. On third down, the Mountaineers have run 108 plays for 484 yards and a 4.5 average gain. West Virginia has run 8 plays on fourth down in 2019 for 87 yards and an average gain of 10.9 per play.
-- Breaking down the West Virginia offensive numbers for the 2019 season shows that the Mountaineers have run a total of 464 plays, 213 coming on the ground and 251 through the air.
