West Virginia was left out of the NCAA Tournament field.
The Mountaineers finished the regular season 19-13 and is coming off a loss in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament to Colorado.
West Virginia was projected into NCAA Field by all bracketologists and boasted six quadrant one victories but were the first team out of the field.
Those six quadrant one wins were more than three of the last four in teams combined with Xavier, North Carolina and San Diego State boasting only five.
